The Gastrobistro at the Pheasant Inn

The plaque on the wall dates this black and white timbered building back to 1638,but it has the air of an even older establishment with its rough quarry tiled floors, inglenook fireplaces and ancient beams, all of which add to its distinctive character. The Haunch of Venison

This pub dates back to the 14th century when it was used to house craftsmen working on the Cathedral spire. It is an immensely charming and characterful place with huge oak beams that pre-date even the building itself and are believed to originate from an early sailing vessel. The ground floor bar has a unique floor with former Choristers tiles and the bar top is completely made of pewter.

The Millstream

Much of the pub's original character remains, in the form of pale beams and thick wattle walls. Vertical beams act as dividers for the different dining areas and log burners provide comfort on dark winter evenings. Seasonal ales are served including Summersault and Bishop's Tipple.
